Correlation analysis of the efficacy and recurrence of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy and carbon dioxide laser separately combined with compound lidocaine gel in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum
Objective To investigate the efficacy and recurrence of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy(ALA-PDT)and carbon dioxide(CO2)laser separately combined with compound lidocaine gel in the treatment of condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods The clinical data of 121 patients with CA admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into group A(n=62)and group B(n=59)according to the treatments.Group A was treated with ALA-PDT combined with compound lidocaine gel,and Group B was treated with CO2 laser combined with compound lidocaine gel.The clinical effects of the two groups were compared.Six months after the treatments, patients were followed up and divided into relapse group(n=34)and non-relapse group(n=87).The related factors of the recurrence in CA patients were analyzed. Results The total effective rate of Group A was better than that of Group B with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that multiple CA,occasional/frequent condom using or not using condom, two or more sexual partners, frequent staying up late and CO2 laser combined compound lidocaine gel therapy were independent risk factors for the recurrence of CA patients(P<0.05).Conclusions The efficacy of ALA-PDT combined with compound lidocaine gel is better than CO2 laser combined with compound lidocaine gel in the treatment of CA.The number of CA,condom use condition, the number of sexual partners, frequent staying up late and treatment methods are the related factors of the recurrence of CA patients.Clinically,we should pay attention to the above factors and formulate targeted intervention measures to reduce the recurrence rate of CA.
