During the Han Dynasty,medical practitioners inherited the sexual science of the rational release of desire and health preservation in the pre Qin period,developed sexual techniques with the core concern of rational release of desire and health preservation,and extensively absorbed various knowledge of sexual medicine and health care,compiled books on sexual science that reflect the knowledge of aggregating essence and maintaining yin.During the Han Dynasty,books on sexual studies and sexual techniques advocated moderation,criticizing the indulgent culture of the privileged class;studied the techniques of Yin and health preservation,developed the knowledge of aggregating essence and maintaining Yin,and emphasized the health preservation function of sexual technology.Its technique of aggregating essence and not easily ejaculating adapted to the needs of monogamous and multi concubine families;eugenics met the needs of nobles to inherit titles,fiefs,and property.Sexual health,longevity,and family harmony through male and female intercourse were the core function and value orientations pursued by Han Dynasty sexual studies and sexual technology books.
