Objective To investigate the sexual knowledge,attitudes and influencing factors of the elderly in Lijiang urban and rural areas.Methods A self-designed questionnaire and the aging sexual knowledge and attitudes scale were used to investigate 132 elderly people.Results The total scores of sexual knowledge scale for the elderly were 12.92±7.62 points and sexual attitude scale were 105.70±13.50 points respectively.The level of sexual knowledge of the elderly was related to age,marital status,monthly income and religious belief.The attitudes of the elderly towards sexual behavior were related to their religious belief and satisfaction degree of sexual needs.With the increase of the level of knowledge about sex,the attitudes of the elderly toward sex tended to be positive.Conclusions The attitude of the elderly toward the sexual behavior of the elderly tends to be positive,but the sexual knowledge of the elderly is generally lacking.
