The expression condition and clinical value of leucine rich α2-glycoprotein 1 and procalcitonectin 20 in cervical cancer tissue
Objective To explore the expression condition and clinical significance of leucine rich α2-glycoprotein 1(LRG1)and procalcitonectin 20(PCDH20)in cervical cancer tissue. Methods A total of 68 cervical biopsy specimens from patients with cervical cancer admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Neijiang between June 2019 and June 2020 were selected as the cervical cancer group, and 68 cervical biopsy specimens from patients with benign cervical tumors during the same period were selected as the control group. The clinical data related to the cervical cancer group were collected. The expression condition of LRG1 and PCDH20 were compared between the two groups, and the relationship between LRG1 and PCDH20 expression conditions and clinicopathological features was analyzed.Spearman correlation was applied to analyze the correlation between LRG1 and PCDH20 expression in cervical cancer tissue.Kaplan-Meier method was applied to analyze the correlation between the expression of LRG1 and PCDH20 in cervical cancer tissue and the prognosis of patients.Cox regression was applied to analyze the negative factors that affect the prognosis of cervical cancer patients. Results The positive expression rate of LRG1 in the cervical cancer group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the positive expression rate of PCDH20 in the cervical cancer group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The expression conditions of LRG1 and PCDH20 in the cervical cancer group were related to the maximum diameter of the tumor, international clinical pathology of malignant tumors tumor node metastasis(TNM)stage, presence of lymph node metastasis, degree of tissue differentiation, and depth of infiltration(P<0.05).A negative correlation existed between the expression conditions of LRG1 and PCDH20 in cervical cancer tissue(r=-0.594,P<0.001).The 3-year survival rate of patients with LRG1 positive expression in cervical cancer tissue was lower than those with LRG1 negative expression(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of patients with positive expression of PCDH20 in cervical cancer tissue was higher than those with negative expression of PCDH20(P<0.05).Positive expression of LRG1,negative expression of PCDH20,lymph node metastasis, human papilloma virus(HPV)infection, and deep myometrial infiltration were all independent risk factors for death in cervical cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusions LRG1 was highly expressed and PCDH20 was lowly expressed in cervical cancer tissues, both of which were closely related to the prognosis of patients and could be used as predictive indicators for prognostic assessment of cervical cancer patients.
