Expression of E-box binding zinc finger protein 2 and insulin like growth factor-1 receptor in endometrial carcinoma and their relationship with lymph node metastasis and prognosis
Objective To investigate the expression of E-box binding zinc finger protein 2(ZEB2)and insulin-like growth factor-1 receptor(IGF1R)in endometrial carcinoma and its relationship with lymph node metastasis and prognosis. Methods A total of 137 patients with endometrial cancer who underwent surgical treatment in Handan Central Hospital from June 2018 to June 2020 were selected as the study objects, and the cancer tissues and paracancer tissues removed during surgery were collected.Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the expression of ZEB2 and IGF1R in tissues, the relationship between the pathological features of patients and the expression of ZEB2 and IGF1R,and the relationship between different clinical features and lymph node metastasis were further analyzed.Regular follow-up was conducted, and Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze the prognosis and survival of patients according to the follow-up results.Multivariate analysis of poor prognosis was performed by Cox regression model. Results The positive expression rates of ZEB2 and IGF1R in endometrial carcinoma tissues were higher than those in paracancer tissues(P<0.05).The expression levels of ZEB2 and IGF1 R in endometrial carcinoma were correlated with international federation of gynecology and obstetrics(FIGO)staging and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Lymph node metastasis status was correlated with tumor diameter and FIGO stage(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of patients with positive expression of ZEB2 in endometrial cancer tissue was lower than that of patients with negative expression of ZEB2(P<0.05),and the 3-year survival rate of patients with positive expression of IGF1R in endometrial cancer tissue was lower than that of patients with negative expression of IGF1R(P<0.05).FIGO stage, lymph node metastasis,ZEB2 and IGF1R positive expression were all factors influencing poor prognosis of endometrial carcinoma patients(P<0.05).Conclusions The positive expression rates of ZEB2 and IGF1R in endometrial carcinoma tissues were higher than those in paracancer tissues, which were related to FIGO stage and lymph node metastasis status of patients.
