The efficacy of compound cantharidin capsule combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of prostate cancer patients with bone metastasis
Objective To observe the efficacy of compound cantharidin capsule combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of prostate cancer(PCa)patients with bone metastasis(BM).Methods A total of 92 PCa BM patients who treated in Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Center,Baoji Gaoxin Hospital from January 2022 to March 2023 were selected as study objects.They were divided into control group and study group by the random number table method,with 46 cases in each group.The control group received radiotherapy,while the study group received compound cantharidin capsule based on control group.The curative effect,visual analogue scale(VAS)score,immune indicators,and adverse bone events were compared between the two groups,and the levels of serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP),prostate specific antigen(PSA),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),and anterior gradient 2(AGR2)were compared between the two groups.Results Study group had a higher total effective rate than control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the serum PSA,VEGF,AGR2 levels,and VAS score of both groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05),and those in study group were lower than control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the serum ALP level in both groups was higher than before treatment(P＜0.05),and that in study group was lower than control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the CD4+/CD8+,CD4+,CD3+,IgA,and IgM in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05),and those in study group were higher than control group(P＜0.05).Study group had a lower total incidence of adverse bone events than control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions The combination of compound cantharidin capsule and radiotherapy has a good therapeutic effect on PCa BM patients,which can alleviate pain,improve bone metabolism and immune function,and has good safety.
