Meta-analysis of influencing factors of multiple sexual partners in men who have sex with men
Objective To understand the influencing factors of men who have sex with men(MSM)multiple sexual partners,and to provide reference for intervention of MSM multiple sexual partners and prevention of acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS).Methods Literatures on influencing factors of MSM multiple sexual partners in CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,China Biology Medicine,Pubmed,Web of Science,Embase,and the Cochrane Library were searched by computer.The search time was from the establishment of the database to July 2023.RevMan 5.4 software was used for Meta-analysis,the combined effects were OR values and their 95%CI.Results A total of 9 papers involving 7,127 study subjects were included,and 7 influencing factors were extracted.The quality of the literatures was evaluated as medium to high quality.Meta-analysis results showed that drinking(OR=1.98,95%CI:1.45-2.69)was a risk factor for MSM multiple sexual partners;the results of Meta-analysis of male casual/commercial sexual partners were with strong heterogeneity and cannot be identified as influencing factor of MSM multiple sexual partners.Meta-analysis results of receiving health services,being married,drug use behavior,human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)risk perception,and irregular condom use in sexual life were not statistically significant,and could not be identified as the influencing factors of MSM multiple sexual partners.Conclusions Relevant departments should strengthen health education for MSM with multiple sexual partners,enhance MSM self-protection awareness,improve MSM mental health,enhance MSM self-acceptance,improve drinking behavior,and reduce the incidence of multiple sexual partners.
