The levels of interleukin-6,interleukin-8,and tumor necrosis factor-α in the expressed prostatic secretions of patients with type Ⅲ prostatitis and their clinical application values
Objective To analyze the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the expressed prostatic secretions(EPS)of patients with type Ⅲ prostatitis, and to explore their clinical application values. Methods A total of 60 patients with type Ⅲ prostatitis admitted to the Department of Urology, the Third People's Hospital of Bengbu from July 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the research group.Among them,30 cases were type Ⅲ A(white blood cell count ≥ 10/HP in EPS,type ⅢA group),and 30 cases were type Ⅲ B(white blood cell count<10/HP in EPS,type ⅢB group).Another 30 cases of health check-up personnel or healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. The levels of IL-6,IL-8,and TNF-α were detected in EPS of research objects, and their correlation with chronic prostatitis syndrome index(CPSI)score was analyzed. The clinical value of IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α in EPS in diagnosing type Ⅲ prostatitis was analyzed through the receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve. Results The IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α levels in EPS and CPSI score in the type Ⅲ A group and type Ⅲ B group were all higher than those in the control group, and those in the type Ⅲ A group were higher than those in the type ⅢB group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The CPSI score of patients with type Ⅲ A and ⅢB prostatitis were positively correlated with the IL-6,IL-8,and TNF-α levels in EPS(P<0.05).The ROC curve results showed that the clinical value of IL-6,IL-8,and TNF-α in EPS in the diagnosis of type Ⅲ A prostatitis was better than that in the diagnosis of type ⅢB prostatitis. Conclusions IL-6,IL-8,and TNF-α in EPS can be used as one of the potential bases for diagnosing the clinical classification of type Ⅲ prostatitis, and the effect on diagnosing type Ⅲ A prostatitis is better than that on diagnosing type Ⅲ B prostatitis.
