Research progress on NOD-like receptor protein 3 inflammasome and ovarian dysfunction-related diseases
NOD-like receptor protein 3(NLRP3)inflammasome is a macromolecular complex consists of NLRP3,apoptosis-associated speck-like protein(ASC)and cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase(Caspase)-1,mainly participating in the natural immunity of body. When the NLRP3 inflammasome is activated,Caspase-1 can mediate the production of interleukin(IL)-1β and IL-18,thereby forming holes in the cell membrane and inducing pyroptosis.Domestic and abroad research found that the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome is closely related to the occurrence and development of ovarian dysfunction-related diseases. This paper described the research progress on NLRP3 inflammasome and ovarian dysfunction-related diseases, and mainly reviewed the structure, function, and activation process of NLRP3 inflammasome and the influencing mechanism of NLRP3 inflammasome on ovarian function.
