Analysis of the efficacy of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist combined with dienogest in the treatment of adenomyosis and its influence on recurrence based on propensity matching method
Objective To analyze the efficacy of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa)combined with dienogest in the treatment of adenomyosis(AM)and its influence on recurrence based on propensity matching method(PSM).Methods A total of 160 AM patients admitted to Jinhua Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the study objects,72 patients treated with GnRHa were set as the control group,and 88 patients treated with GnRHa combined with dienogest were set as the observation group.PSM was used to match the clinical data of the two groups,and 60 pairs of samples with balanced covariates were obtained.Clinical efficacy,sex hormone levels[estradiol(E2),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH)]and complications during treatment were compared between the two groups.After 6 months of follow-up,the recurrence condition of AM in two groups were recorded.Results After PSM,the clinical total effective rate in observation group was higher than that in control group,with statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of E2 and FSH in both groups were significantly decreased than before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.05);the levels of LH in both groups were significantly higher than before treatment,and that in the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The complications rate of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group during treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After 6 months of follow-up,the recurrence rate of observation group was significantly lower than that of control group during treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusions GnRHa combined with dienogest can significantly improve the sex hormone levels of AM patients,with low recurrence rate,accurate curative effect,and good safety.
