Discussion on medication rules of professor Shi Wei in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome based on data mining
Objective To discuss medication rules of professor Shi Wei in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)based on data mining.Methods Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescriptions for patients admitted to outpatient clinic of director Shi Wei from the Department of Gynecology of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 1,2020 to September 30,2023 and met the diagnostic criteria of PCOS were obtained.Microsoft Excel 2010 was used for data management.SPSS Modeler 18.0 was used for high-frequency drug association rule and complex network analysis,and SPSS Statistics 25.0 was used for systematic cluster analysis.Results A total of 262 TCM prescriptions were included,involving 88 kinds of TCM herbal medicines.The total frequency of medication was 5,960 times.Among them,there were 28 high-frequency TCM herbs(frequency＞100 times),and the top 5 were licorice,angelica sinensis,tangerine peel,motherwort,and atractylodes macrocephala.The medicinal properties were mostly warm,with the main flavors being sweet,spicy,and bitter.The meridians were mainly liver,spleen,and kidney,and the main effects were tonifying deficiency,regulating Qi,and promoting blood circulation and removing stasis.5 clusters of drug combinations were obtained through systematic cluster,and 1 core drug combination was obtained from complex network analysis.Conclusions The treatment of PCOS by professor Shi Wei is based on the treatment principles of regulating the Yin and Yang of the organs,and harmonizing the Qi and blood of Chongren,with the basic treatment methods of tonifying the kidney and promoting Yang,strengthening the spleen and reducing phlegm,and soothing the liver and relieving depression.
