Experience of treating erectile dysfunction/premature ejaculation comorbidity with Chaihu Guizhi Decoction based on"harmony method"
Erectile dysfunction(ED)/premature ejaculation(PE)comorbidity means patients have varying degrees of ED and PE in the process of sexual life.The clinical treatment is difficult,which should arouse the common concern of more doctors and patients.Psychological factors,gonadal hormones and vascular factors are common factors leading to ED/PE comorbidity.Our research group keep the pathogenesis of"liver failure and Qi and blood loss of Ying and Wei"to explore the therapeutic principles and methods of Chaihu Guizhi Decoction in the treatment of ED/PE comorbidity based on the theory of"harmony method".Chaihu Guizhi Decoction is a combination of Xiaochaihu Decoction and Guizhi Decoction,which was first recorded in"Treatise on Febrile Diseases".It has the effect of soothing liver and harmonizing Ying,and was used to treat Taiyang Shaoyang disease.The treatment of ED/PE comorbidity in traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes the harmony of Yin and Yang,the harmony of liver meridian,the harmony of Qi and blood,the harmony of viscera,and pays attention to the harmony of body and spirit.In the process of disease diagnosis and treatment,patients should be given psychological counseling to maintain the coordination and balance of the mental state of patients.One test case is given in the current article for reference.
