With the accelerated aging of the global population,health issues among the elderly have become increasingly prominent.Sexual health,a crucial component of the overall health profile of the elderly,is frequently overlooked.This article systematically reviews pertinent domestic and international literature,engaging in an in-depth discussion of the epidemiological characteristics of sexual activities,the prevalence of sexual dysfunction,the incidence of sexually transmitted infections,concludes and summarizes the influencing factors of sexual health in the elderly.In addition,this paper explores intervention strategies related to sexual health of the elderly,aiming to comprehensively enhance the overall health level of the elderly through scientific and rational measures,in order to provide references for clinical practice and future research.
