In the post-antibiotic era,the exploitation of effective antibiotic alternatives becomes one of global the hot spots.Antimicrobial peptides were considered as one of excellent antibiotic alternative.Recently the research and application of microorganism antimicrobial peptides in animal production were constantly deepening,and lots of research achievement were obtained.Therefore,the progress of microorganism antimicrobial peptides and these applications on the prevention and treatment of animal epidemic,the improvement of the immunity levels and antioxidant ability,and the improvement of animal growth performance were summarized in detail in order to provide reference for the exploration of microorganism antimicrobial peptides in animal production.
