Research Progress on the Biological Functions of Yeast Culture and Its Applications in Animal Production
Yeast culture,as a microecological product,is produced after anaerobic fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and mainly composed of yeast cell contents, cell wall, metabolites and denaturing medium.Yeast culture is rich in β-glucans,mannan oligosaccharides, vitamins, organic acids and other nutrients, and can regulate the balance of intestinal microbiome, absorb mycotoxins, and enhance immunity and antioxidant ability, thereby promoting intestinal health and improving animals'production performance.Yeast culture has been widely applied in animal production as a feedstuff.Hence, this paper focuses on the composition and biological functions of yeast culture and its application in animal husbandry production,in order to provide some advices for the in-depth development and rational application of yeast culture in livestock and poultry industry.
