Research Progress on Production Technology and Application of Sex-controlled Semen in Goat and Sheep
The production and application of sex-controlled semen in sheep and goats has greatly improved the efficiency of population expansion and promoted the rapid development of the sheep and goat industry.Since the development of sex-controlled semen technology,researchers have made significant scientific achievements,but its application in sheep production is still very limited.This article systematically reviews the development of sheep sex-controlled semen separation technology and the impact of different factors,(including breed,individual differences,diluent formula,freezing procedures,and feeding management),on sheep and goat sex-controlled semen production.It also expounds on the promotion,application,and prospects of sheep sex-controlled semen and is expected to provide a reference for the research and development,promotion,and application of efficient separation and insemination techniques for sheep and goat sex-controlled semen.
