Lipid metabolism is an important physiological process of energy conversion and metabolism in bodies, closely related to the growth and development of livestock and poultry,as well as fat deposition.Resveratrol is a kind of stilbene polyphenol compound that widely exists in nature. It regulates lipid metabolism of livestock and poultry through multiple pathways such as adenylate activated protein kinase and peroxisome proliferator activated receptor. At present, resveratrol has made new progress in regulating lipid metabolism in livestock and poultry, and has differential effects on lipid metabolism in different types of adipose tissue. In order to further explore the function of resveratrol, this paper summarized the mechanism of resveratrol regulating lipid metabolism and its application effect in livestock and poultry,in order to provide reference for the precise application of resveratrol in livestock and poultry production.
