Research Progress on Physiological Functions of Branched-chain Amino Acids and Their Application in Ruminant Production
Branched-chain amino acids(BCAAs)are essential amino acid for normal growth and development,maintenance of life as well as physiological function.BCAAs have unique physiological functions due to their unique molecular structure.Recent studies have showed that BCAAs have multiple functions,such as providing energy,promoting protein synthesis,regulating fat metabolism,hormone secretion and immunity function,antioxidant stress.The paper reviews the recent progress of the physiological function of branched chain amino acids and prospects the applied perspectives of ruminants,to provide reference for the related application of branched-chain amino acids in ruminants.
