Advances in the Biological Activities of Lentinan Polysaccharides and Their Application in Chicken and Pig Production
s:Lentinan is one of the main active ingredients extracted from Lentinula edodes.It is a typical fungal β-glucan with a triple-helical stereo structure which gives LNT a variety of biological activities,including immunomodulation,antioxidant,intestinal health,anti-inflammatory and anti-tumour activities.LNT has been widely used in the fields of medicine,food and aquaculture,etc.LNT as a feed additive has been catalogued.In this paper,the biological activities of LNT and the progress of its application in chicken and pig production are reviewed,with a view to providing ideas and theoretical support for the application of LNT as a new type of feed additive in chicken and pig farming.
