Research Progress on the Regulation of circRNAs on Muscle Development,Fat Deposition and Lactation in Livestock
The evolution of animal husbandry is related to the production performance and quality indicators of livestock, such as meat yield, milk yield, and fat deposition.CircRNAs are non-coding RNAs that play a role in the control of lactation, development, and myogenesis and adipogenesis in livestock.According to the function of circRNAs,the phenotypes of domestic animals are various. In addition to discussing the advantages and drawbacks of different circRNA interference and knockout strategies, this article focuses on the contribution of circRNAs in the development of muscle, fat, and lactation.Simultaneously, this article discusses the potential applications of circRNAs in the advancement of the animal husbandry industry and its knockout technology,to present a fresh idea and theoretical structure for the investigation and utilization of circRNAs in animal husbandry.
