Advances in the Regulation of Neuropeptide Y on Animal Feed Intake
Neuropeptide Y,a peptide neurotransmitter widely distributed throughout the body,is involved in the regulation of a variety of tissue and organ functions, especially in the hypothalamus. It plays an important role in the regulation of animal feeding behavior and energy metabolism. In this review, the effects of neuropeptide Y and its receptors, interactions with various hormones, and the regulation of feeding behavior in animals are reviewed, aiming to help understand the regulatory mechanism of neuropeptide Y on feeding behavior and provide a theoretical basis for related research.
