Research Progress on the Regulation of Fasting and Feeding Frequency on Glucose and Lipid Metabolism of Livestock and Poultry
Feeding management strategies are closely related to growth performance and health. In animal husbandry, the time, frequency or energy intake of animals can be effectively adjusted by formulating reasonable feeding management strategies, which in turn affects the growth and feed efficiency of animals.Among them, the frequency of fasting and feeding is of great significance to the blood glucose stability, lipid metabolism regulation and disease prevention of livestock and poultry.Maintaining good glucose and lipid metabolism is very important to maintain the health of the body. This article mainly reviews the molecular mechanisms of fasting and feeding frequency on glucose and lipid metabolism in livestock and poultry,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the selection of appropriate feeding patterns for livestock and poultry production, and provide nutritional strategies for the effective prevention of metabolic dysfunction in livestock and poultry.
