The Nutritional Value of Rosa roxburghii Tratt and Its Applicationin Cattle and Sheep Production
The development and utilization of unconventional feed resources can alleviate the contradiction between human and animals for food,and is of great significance to ensure national food security.The residue of roxburgh rose is the byproduct of juice extraction of fresh roxburgh rose fruit,which has high nutritional value and great development potential.It can be used as a feed source for cattle and sheep breeding,and can improve the production performance,antioxidant activity and immune ability of cattle and sheep.This paper mainly summarizes the nutritional value,bioactive constituents,biological functions of roxburgh rose and the application of roxburgh rose residue in cattle and sheep breeding production,and puts forward the problems that need further research in the future,in order to provide reference for the utilization of roxburgh rose residue in modern cattle and sheep breeding.
