Model United Nations(MUN)is dedicated to promoting the education for international understanding among young people.In the early 1990s,it was introduced to China,and since then,relevant activities have been carried out in full swing.Three types of Chinese organizations have leveraged their advantages to host the MUN,which promotes evolution from initial exploration to diversified development.At present,there are three major types of MUN in China:academic MUN in universities,personal non-profit MUN,and commercial MUN,with their pros and cons.The discussion topics,meeting rules,and specific segments of the MUN all have important educational values.It is therefore of great significance to analyzing and summarizing the educational value of MUN,cultivating young talents who respect and understand the diversity of civilizations in various countries,so as to promote high-quality education,cultural exchanges and inclusiveness.
