Exploration on the Multi-paths for Museums to Empower the High-quality Development of Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools——Exemplified by Beijing Yucai School
Promoting the reform of science education is an important measure to implement the basic strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education.Museums and other social public spaces have created a high-quality education reform environment for improving the quality of science education,expanding the space of science education,innovating the idea of science education and reforming the methods of science education.Empowering science education in primary and secondary schools via museums still faces many practical dilemmas,and relevant national policies have provided the basic ideas for solving these dilemmas.Following the guidance of national policies,Beijing Yucai School has promoted the high-quality development of science education in primary and secondary schools with the help of museums and other social public spaces.The school has organized regular research activities at museums,made full use of museum resources to incubate scientific research projects,improved the quality of science education based on museum-school cooperation,and provided supports from museums for the development of science teachers at school.The above multi-paths have shown the possibility and feasibility of empowering science education in primary and secondary schools via museums,and provided new ideas and references for enriching the content of museum-school cooperation and building a sustainable science education system based on museum-school cooperation.
