Promoting the Chinese Path to Modernization with the High-quality Development of Children's Affairs——Status Quo,Problems,and Prospects of Chinese Children's Development in 2023
The year of 2023 is the start of implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in an all-round way. New breakthroughs have been made in various aspects of children's development in 2023. We have further improved the regulatory and policy system for child health,and continuously strengthened the foundation for building an education power. We have actively promoted the high-quality development of child welfare institutions,push forward the construction of family tutoring and family ethics in an innovative way,gradually optimized the environment for children's growth,and deepened the legal protection of children. However,there are still some urgent issues that need to be addressed,given the growing needs of children and their families for a better life. 2024 is a crucial year for fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. We must deeply understand the important instructions and statements of General Secretary Xi Jinping on children's work,focus on solving prominent problems of children's physical and mental health,deepen the improvement and optimization of basic education,promote the innovative transformation of child welfare institutions,build a system for family education guidance and services,create a more friendly environment for children's growth,improve the legal protection system for juveniles,and continuously create a new chapter for children's affairs.
