Exercise guidelines for children and adolescents based on the integration of sports and health(2024)
As society advances and living standards is improving,the lifestyle of children and ado-lescents has undergone significant changes,leading to a growing number of health challenges.Scientific exer-cise plays a crucial role in promoting the overall well-being of children and adolescents,benefiting their phys-ical and mental health,as well as aiding in the prevention and management of chronic diseases.This exercise guideline focuses on the integration of sports and health,providing scientifically-backed recommendations for aerobic exercise,resistance exercise,and flexibility exercise for children and adolescents.Additionally,it of-fers personalized exercise advice for individuals with conditions such as overweight or obesity,congenital heart disease,and diabetes.The guidance encompasses aspects such as safe exercise practices,diverse physi-cal activities,and involving families,all of which contribute to a comprehensive and feasible exercise program for children and adolescents.The ultimate goal is to maximize the impact of exercise on promoting children's healthy growth and development,and to prevent and treat chronic diseases,finally achieving the goal of proac-tive health.
