Recent studies have found that triglyceride glucose(TyG)index is a simple and sensitive alternative index for early assessment of insulin resistance,and has important significance in risk prediction,risk stratification and prognosis assessment of cardiovascular diseases.Some scholars have combined TyG with anthropometric indicators and found that it can better predict the risk of cardiovascular disease.Therefore,this article reviews the clinical application value and the latest research progress of triglyceride glucose index and TyG-anthropometric indicators in cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and coronary heart disease.
