Platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)is an important regulatory factor in fibrosis process and is widely expressed in the heart.Continued research on PDGF has led to a clearer understanding of its role in the mechanisms of myocardial fibrosis.PDGF mediates downstream signal transduction by binding to its receptor in its active form, playing an important role in the proliferation of fibroblasts and angiogenesis during the inflammation stage of myocardial fibrosis.Currently, although various PDGF receptor-targeted drugs have shown improvement in myocardial fibrosis in animal experiments, their effectiveness still needs to be validated through extensive clinical trials.
