Objective To study the clinical effect of surgical treatment of distal radius fracture characterized by the external use of traditional Chinese medicine Kuanjin powder with enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS).Methods Patients who underwent open reduction and internal fixation of unilateral distal radius fractures in Suzhou TCM Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine were studied. They were divided into two groups:17 cases in the traditional group were treated with routine treatment.21 cases in ERAS group were treated with Kuanjin powder under the guidance of ERAS concept. The VAS scores of all patients in the two groups before operation,24 hours after operation,3 days after operation and 1 week after operation, the wrist function score and ability of daily living score of the two groups at 4 weeks and 12 weeks, and the probability of complications were counted. Results There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before and 24 hours after operation. There was significant difference in VAS score at 3 days and 1 week after operation(P<0.05).There was significant difference in wrist function score, ability of daily living score and health knowledge mastery at 4 and 12 weeks after operation(P<0.05).Conclusion Under the guidance of ERAS concept, the surgical treatment scheme of distal radius fracture is optimized, which can reduce the postoperative pain of patients.Combined with Kuanjin powder, external treatment can promote the rapid recovery of wrist function and improve the effect of rehabilitation treatment, which is worthy of clinical application.
