Objective To investigate the correlation between serum interleukin-6(IL-6),immunoglobulin E(IgE)levels and diabetic ketoacidosis(DKA)in children with type 1 diabetes,and to analyze the predictive value of the two and their combination for DKA.Methods A prospective study was conducted.62 children with type 1 diabetes admitted to the hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into DKA group and non DKA group according to whether they were complicated with DKA.The binary correlation between the use points of serum IL-6 and IgE levels at the time of admission of the two groups was compared to test the correlation between serum IL-6 and IgE and the occurrence of DKA in children with type 1 diabetes,and the receiver operating curve(ROC)was drawn.The area under the curve(AUC)was used to evaluate the predictive value of serum IL-6 and IgE on the occurrence of DKA in children with type 1 diabetes.Results DKA occurred in 25 of 62 children with type 1 diabetes(40.32%).There was no statistically significant difference in general information between the two groups of children(P>0.05).Serum IL-6 level in the DKA group was significantly higher than that in the non DKA group,and the IgE level was significantly lower than that in the non DKA group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The point binary correlation test showed that there was a positive correlation between serum IL-6 and DKA in children with type 1 diabetes(r=0.582,P<0.05).There was a negative correlation between IgE and DKA in children with type 1 diabetes(r=-0.465,P<0.05).Mapping ROC showed that serum IL-6,IgE and their combination had moderate predictive value for DKA in children with type 1 diabetes,but the combined predictive value was the highest,with AUC of 0.723,0.796 and 0.870,respectively.Conclusion The level of serum IL-6 in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus complicated with DKA is increased,and the level of IgE is decreased.Both of them have certain predictive value for DKA,and the joint predictive value is the highest.
