On the Education to Foster Ideals and Convictions of Party Members and Officials during the Yan'an Period
During the Yan'an period, the CPC launched all-around,multi-level and targeted education pro-grams to foster ideals and convictions of Party members and officials, which were guided by Marxism-Leninism,fo-cused on fighting against Japan aggression and national salvation, set examples in the Party as role models, and combined with study of Party history. The faith in Marxist Leninist provided a theoretical basis for strengthening the ideals and convictions of the Party members and officials;the goal for national liberation was closely in line with the calls of the times;the characters of the revolutionary martyrs set a benchmark for the Party members and offi-cials.Reviewing the historical experience and lessons strengthened the conviction of Party members in the leader-ship with Mao Zedong as its core.By visualizing abstract theories, adopting a problem-oriented approach, the Party succeeded in carrying out the education across the board, which yielded remarkable results and far-reaching im-pact.The education conducted in different dimensions for leaders at all levels had effectively united thinking of Party members, strengthened their convictions, and laid a solid foundation for the victory of the New Democratic Revolution.
