On the Publicity of the English Edition of On Protracted War during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression
During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,the CPC took the initiative to translate Mao's work,on Protracted War into English and present it to the world,aiming to communicate to the west commu-nity the prolonged nature of the war and the ultimate victory for China,to promote the formation of an international united front against Fascism.The CPC utilized various communication channels and media,exerting efforts in Shanghai,Wuhan,and Hong Kong at the same time,and developed targeted communication strategies in line with the specific conditions.The positive response from Western governments and media to the work enabled the CPC to get the initiative and win a say in the international discourse system,and showcased its determination in the War of Resistance.The publicity of the English edition set an example for the Party in turning the"advantageous"into the"advantageous"in its endeavors of international communication in the early days,providing valuable experience for the international communication in the new era.
