On the Party's Endeavors to Build a Community for the Chinese Nation during the Yan'an Pe-riod:Historical Logic,Theoretical Basis,and Framework
During the Yan'an period,the Communist Party of China made great endeavors to promote the building of a community for the Chinese nation embracing three elements from historical perspective,i.e.,with the analysis of the concept of"Chinese nation"as a national country and the connotation of community as its theme,with establishing and consolidating the national united front as its foundation,and the explorations in solving the ethnic problems with Chinese characteristics as the practical pathway.Against this backdrop,the CPC traced the evolution course and internal structure of the Chinese nation,analyzed in great detail the nature of ethnic relations of the Chinese nationalities as one community,and clarified the mechanisms of relationship between the Party lead-ership and the ethnic autonomy.At the same time,it constructed a mutually supportive,organically connected,and coordinated operating system in multiple dimensions,including organizational leadership,democratic construction,economic development,cultural and ideological education,and relationship coordination,making the sense of com-munity of the Chinese nation a concrete carrier in people's lives,visually presented in media communication,and symbolically integrated in ethnic interactions.
