Has Parental Education Anxiety Been Relieved in the"Double Reduction"Landscape? An Empirical Survey Based on 29 Provinces(Autonomous Regions,Municipalities)in China
Parental educational anxiety is a widespread social phenomenon, and its effective alleviation is an inevitable demand for the stable and long-term implementation of the"Double Reduction"policy. This study took 1,347 parents from 116 cities in 29 provinces(autunomous regions, municipalities)in China as the re-search object, using the multinomial ordered logistic regression model under the ecosystem theory framework to explore the macro-system policy factors,meso-system school factors, and micro-system parents and students fac-tors that affect parents'educational anxiety.Research results show that compared with the past, parents'group anxiety has been relieved under the"double reduction"pattern, the specific internal anxiety system has in-creased or decreased, and the anxiety focus has not changed. There are differences in gender,occupation,re-gion,and other aspects within the anxiety of the parent group. The rationality recognition of the"double reduc-tion"policy design is a macro-system influencing factor;the area where the school is located and whether the school teacher actively contacts the parents are the meso-system influencing factors;family economic conditions, parents'gender, educational expectations, whether to hire tutors for children after the"double reduction,"wheth-er to let children participate in out-of-school discipline tutoring, students'school stage, and students'grade rank-ing are the micro-system influencing factors.Based on the above analysis, policy suggestions are put forward by the government, schools, and parents themselves.
