Educational Reflections and Practical Prospects on Artificial Intelligence Empowering Creative Writing in the Age of Large Language Models
In the age of large language models,Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides necessary technological support and creates a favorable development environment for creative writing education, but the promotion of this technology in the field of education requires thoughtful reflections and prospects in both theoretical and prac-tical aspects. Theoretically,as the fundamental characteristics of AI empowering creative writing continue to be enriched and the demands of development become increasingly specific,it demonstrates numerous educational ad-vantages in areas such as creating writing platforms, providing inspirational support, simulating peer interactions, generating writing feedback, and facilitating industrial transformation. Practically, due to limitations imposed by technology itself, personal perspectives, and writing standards,AI empowering creative writing still faces practical difficulties. For instance,it may be applicable to imitative writing, which may not necessarily foster students' deep creativity;it might increase students'cognitive load and fail to provide entirely effective information;teach-ers and students discriminate against AI and automated assessments are not effective;it can be difficult to meet students'actual needs, which may lead to issues related to plagiarism. In order to effectively empower creative writing through AI,future efforts should focus on solidifying the technological foundations by systematically opti-mizing large language models. Moreover, practical applications should also be developed by deepening AI literacy education and research and reforming creative writing teaching models and curriculum systems. Lastly,comprehen-sive institutional safeguards should be established by advancing ethical governance with the collaboration of gov-ernment,school,and society.
