[Background]To achieve domestic independent development of flaky pipe tobacco shreds,enrich its types,enhance its types,and improve production efficiency,a set of experimental equipment for molding,shaping and slicing of flaky pipe tobacco has been developed and designed.[Methods]Firstly,the pre-treated tobacco leaves were pressed and molded by hydraulic cylinder.Then,a mechanical buckle mold was used to mold the shaped cake tobacco,making them more compact and less prone to rebound.Finally,the pipe tobacco flake was sliced by the PLC control system.[Results]The equipment produces shredded pipe tobacco that meets the quality requirements,with lengths of 50-70 mm,widths of 20-30 mm,thicknesses of 2-3 mm,weights of 3-5 g,a slicing speed of 30 slices/min,and an effective operation rate of 90%.
