Research progress of electromagnetic field assisted optimization for microstructure and properties of high-speed steel
The rapid development of manufacturing industry has put forward higher requirements for the quality of high-speed steel,and the demand for high-quality high-speed steel is gradually increasing.The mechanical properties of high-speed steel mainly depend on its microstructure,especially the morphology,size,quantity and distribution of carbides.With the progress of physics and material science and technology,the application of electromagnetic field in material preparation has attracted the attention of metallurgical and material workers,and has become a re-search hotspot in recent years.The research results of improving the microstructure and properties of high-speed steel by external electromagnetic field at home and abroad are summarized,including the use of electromagnetic field to control the solidification structure of high-speed steel,optimize the heat treatment microstructure of high-speed steel and the service performance of high-speed steel tools.At the same time,the future research focus and applica-tion prospect of this field are prospected.
