The slag-iron ratio decreased from about 300 kg/t to 220 kg/t after high pellet ratio ironmaking was used in a 5 500 m3 blast furnace of a large iron and steel company,which also brought about some problems,such as weakened desulphurization capacity of blast furnace,increased sulfur in hot metal and decreased alkali metals dis-charge capacity of slag.Based on the characteristics of 5 500 m3 blast furnace slag,the effects of basicity,MgO,Al2O3,MnO,TiO2 and temperature on viscosity properties of blast furnace slag at low slag ratio were studied ex-perimentally,so as to provide better technical support for blast furnace production.The results show that as the ba-sicity of slag increases,the liquidus temperature increases.However,when the temperature exceeds 1 375 ℃,the viscosity of the slag gradually decreases with the increase of basicity,and the higher the temperature,the greater the impact of basicity on viscosity.The viscosity decreases gradually with the increase of MgO content,but the liquidus temperature does not change much.With the increase of Al2O3 content,the viscosity shows an increasing trend,and when the mass fraction of Al2O3 is higher than 16%,the viscosity increases significantly,and the liquidus tempera-ture increases with the increase of Al2O3 content.With the increase of Mg-Al ratio,the melting temperature decrea-ses and the slag viscosity decreases,but under the same Mg-Al ratio,the slag with low aluminum has better per-formance.When the mass fraction of MnO is below 1.0%,the viscosity of slag decreases with the increase of MnO content.When the mass fraction of TiO2 in slag is below 5%,the viscosity tends to decrease with the increase of TiO2 content.In addition,through the analysis of three blast furnace slag samples,it is proved that the slag has good performance when the slag viscosity is controlled at 0.30-0.50 Pa·s,and the lower the slag viscosity,the better economic index can be obtained.
