Enhanced external counterpulsation combined with Qili Qiangxin capsules in the treatment of elderly chronic heart failure:a clinical study
Objective To investigate the effects of enhanced external counterpulsation combined with Qili Qiangxin capsules in the treatment of elderly chronic heart failure.Methods From June 2017 to June 2022,82 elderly patients with chronic heart failure treated in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a study group,with 41 patients in each group.The control group received conventional drug treatment,while the study group received external counterpulsation combined with Qili Qiangxin capsules treatment on top of the control group's regimen.The 6-minute walk distance,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results Before treatment,there were no statistically significant differences in the 6-minute walk distance,LVEF,and NT-proBNP between the two groups(all P＞0.05).After treatment,the study group showed significantly higher 6-minute walk distance and LVEF,and significantly lower NT-proBNP levels than the control group,with statistically significant differences between the groups(r=1.710,1.687,2.436,all P＜0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of enhanced external counterpulsation combined with Qili Qiangxin capsules in treating elderly chronic heart failure is significant.It can effectively improve patients'left ventricular systolic function and is suitable for clinical promotion.
