Comparison of radial artery superficial palmar branch wrist flap and dorsal interosseous artery perforator flap for repairing finger wound defect
Objective To analyze and compare the clinical effects of superficial palmar branch wrist flap of radial artery and dorsal artery perforator flap of interbone on repairing finger wound defect.Method A total of 102 patients with soft tissue defect of finger treated in Xingtai General Hospital of North China Medical and Health Group from August 2014 to August 2021 were selected and divided into group A and group B by random number table method, with 51 cases in each group.Group B was treated with carpal striated flap of superficial palmar branch of radial artery, and group A was treated with dorsal interosseous artery perforator flap. The clinical efficacy, surgical conditions(intraoperative blood loss, flap survival rate),wound healing rate after repair and postoperative complications were observed in the two groups, and the patients were followed up for 3 months for their recovery.Result After treatment, the total effective rate of group A was 88.24%,which was significantly higher than that of group B,64.71%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In group B,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);in terms of wound healing effect, group A was lower than group B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of complications in group B(9.8%)compared with the complication rate of group A(2.0%),the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).During the 3-month follow-up,the shape of the flaps and the function of the donor site in the two groups recovered well, and the texture, color and elasticity of the flaps recovered well. Conclusion Dorsal interosseous artery perforator flap has more significant clinical effect on the repair of finger wound defect and fewer complications,it is worthy of clinical application.
