Urban Park Construction and Management in US:Case Study of Los Angeles City and Its Enlightenment to China Cities
In terms of pragmatism and innovation,urban parks in US are good references for Chinese parks under rapid urbanization.Los Angeles City was a representative of urban sprawl but is now leading a sustainable innovative development.Taking it as a typical case study,this paper introduced the components,construction,management and development of urban parks in US cities.With dominant neighborhood parks,rationally optimized layouts,multi-participating management and innovative practice,parks in most US cities can satisfy diverse recreational demands and help to dealing with new problems in urbanization.
