Discussions on Nine Relationships to Build a National Park and Protected Area System in China
The paper discusses nine relationships which should be handled properly to improve a Chinese national park and protected area system,namely:national park as one specific type of protected area and the whole protected area system; conservation and proper usage; current generation and future generations; the role of central government and that of provincial and local ones; the roles among different government agencies; management between inside and outside of the boundary,especially the communities issue; new types and established protected areas types; public management agencies and other non public stake holders; quality and speed of giving birth of Chinese national parks.
