A Study of the Changes of the Wall Pattern of the Temple of Heaven under the Background of Applying for World Heritage of Beijing Central Axis
Mainly by comparing the structure of the Temple of Heaven and the Temple of Xiannong in the same period of Ming and Qing Dynasties,referring to the modular design approach used in the planning and layout of ancient Chinese architectural complexes,and comprehensively using literature,drawings,real objects,aerial photos and mapping maps,the changes in the pattern of the Temple of Heaven during the four historical periods,from the 11th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty(1378)to the 18th year of Yongle in tMing Dynasty(1420),from the 18th year of Yongle in Ming Dynasty(1420)to the 9th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty(1530),from the 9th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty(1530)to the 37th year of the Republic of China(1948),and from the 37th year of the Republic of China(1948)to 2003,are concluded and the reasons and relationships are analyzed.The concept of urban space planning and design in Beijing during Ming and Qing Dynasties and the protection of Beijing's historical landscape also have important reference value.
