The Effect of Green Space Exposure Level on Public Health:A Moderated Mediation Model
Health is the common pursuit of all human beings, and urban green space plays an active role in improving public health. It is a basic and urgent issue to explore the mechanism of action between them.Taking 18 cities around the world as examples, this study uses 2017 satellite images, statistical yearbooks, and reports to obtain data on urban vegetation coverage index, health level, air quality, medical resources, and economic level, and uses statistical methods to analyze the relationship and mechanism between urban green space and public health level, and finally a moderated mediation model. The results show that:1)There is a significant correlation between the level of urban green space exposure and health level;2)Ozone is the main mediating variable between urban green space and health level;3)GDP per capita is a moderating variable in the mediating role of ozone between urban green space and public health levels, and its strength will affect public health. The results of this study clarify the main constraints of urban green space on public health,in order to provide services for the construction of urban living environment for the realization of universal health coverage.
