Research on the"Mountain-Water-City"Landscape Characteristics of Ancient Cities along Jialing River
Jialing River is the second largest tributary in the Yangtze River system and an important cultural corridor in the Bashu region.Within its typical mountain meandering environment,the ancient cities along its banks contain a wealth of wisdom in landscape construction and urban planning.The formation basis of the ancient cities along Jialing River has been sorted out from three aspects:natural environment,cultural environment,and administrative establishment.Taking eight ancient cities as examples,the study systematically combs through historical documents and,in conjunction with the spatial translation of historical maps on the GIS platform,distills the"mountain-water-city"landscape characteristics,Wich specifically includes site selection,mountain and water pattern,fengshui context,urban spatial structure,urban functional construction,and scenic construction.The research is intended to offer references for the protection of Bashu cultural heritage,and the construction of livable mountainous areas in the southwest.
