The Spatial Path Paradigm of Jiangnan Garden Based on Narrative Creation and Body Movement in Traditional Chinese Opera
Garden and traditional Chinese opera share a common focus on human body movements in their narrative creation, exhibiting a similar narrative effect that transforms time and space. This article compares the spatial paths of garden examples and traditional Chinese opera performances through diagrams, and obtains four basic spatial path paradigms:continuous turning, staggered movement,closed-loop aggregation, and multi loop interlocking.Based on this,it analyzes the five different ways in which the"circular path"paradigm responds to different situational needs, and summarizes the functional characteristics of the spatial paradigm, namely folding to expand the expression surface of space, blurring the directional boundaries of space, and controlling the convergence and dispersion of visual focus. It is pointed out that the"circular path"paradigm can be innovatively applied to the immersive spatial design of current gardens and operas, providing reference for the study of spatial path paradigms and design creations for the interconnection between gardens and operas.
