Research on the Impact of Long-Term Care Insurance on Healthcare Consumption Structure——Synthetic Control Studies Based on Urban and Rural Residents in Jingmen City
Under the background of population aging,establishing a long-term care insurance system has become an increasingly urgent social demand.To a certain extent,the development of the long-term care insurance system is of great significance in promoting the upgrading of healthcare consumption structure to release the potential of domestic demand and improve people's livelihood.Using panel data from 12 cities,the policy effect of long-term care insurance on healthcare consumption structure was evaluated by synthetic control method.It is found that long-term care insurance has an optimal effect on the consumption structure of urban and rural residents in Jingmen City.The income effect and demand effect on the demand side,and industrial effect on the supply side provides explanations for the optimization of healthcare consumption structure of long-term care insurance.The long-term care system provides ideas related to improving the quality and expansion of residents'service consumption as well as the supply-side and demand-side reform,such as promoting the connection between the long-term care insurance system and other systems,relying on new technologies to innovate the supply model of long-term care services,and cultivating growth points for nursing service consumption benefiting the people.
