It has been 8 years since the launch of the long-term care insurance pilot program, and it is worth exploring how to promote its full implementation from pilots to regions.By analyzing the current domestic practice of long-term care insurance operation, service and supervision,it is found that there are problems such as insufficient policy coverage,over-reliance on medical insurance funds for financing, difficulties in the supervision of commercial insurance organizations, and insufficient supply of existing nursing resources and supporting facilities. Therefore, drawing on the practical experience of foreign countries, policy recommendations are proposed from the aspects of establishing third-party regulatory mechanisms, formulating scientific evaluation standards, promoting cross-department cooperation and information sharing among governments, and strengthening personnel skill training,in order to provide inspiration for establishing a long-term care insurance system that adapts to China's national conditions.
