International Experience and Inspiration of Long-Term Care Insurance Supporting Informal Family Care
The increasing aging of the population has led to an increase of disability risk,as a result,the long-term care issues have become a common challenge faced by all countries.As a formal system arrangement,long-term care insurance is a manifestation of socialized nursing responsibilities and plays an important role in supporting informal family care,effectively promoting the coordinated development between formal and informal care.The Netherlands,Germany,Japan,and South Korea are typical social long-term care insurance countries.This article explores their practical experience in supporting informal family care and proposes ideas and suggestions for long-term care insurance to support informal family care in the context of China.
